The Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers kick off their second-round NHL Playoffs series Monday night in Toronto with Game 1 in a race to four wins. The game is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. ET with TV coverage on ESPN and streaming on-demand.

The Maple Leafs had to work to finish off the Ottawa Senators in their first-round series, eventually putting the series away with a 4-2 in Ottawa in Game 6. Toronto built a 3-0 series lead and found the third elimination game to be the charm as the Leafs broke a 2-2 tie in Game 6 with a go-ahead goal by Max Pacioretty with 5:39 remaining and an empty-net insurance goal by William Nylander with 19 seconds left.
The Panthers advance to the second round looking to build off a five-game upset of the higher-seeded Tampa Bay Lightning in their first-round All-Florida series. Sam Bennett, Matthew Tkachuk and Nate Schmidt all scored three goals in the series as Florida also boasted a 4-for-6 performance on the Power Play. Florida went 3-1-0 in the head-to-head series with Toronto in four regular-season meetings.
