DENVER, Colorado — Two of the best teams in the NHL meet in Denver Thursday night when the Colorado Avalanche host the red-hot Los Angeles Kings. Puck drop is at 10 p.m. Eastern, and ESPN will broadcast the game.

The Kings come into tonight’s game as one of the hottest teams in the NHL, with wins in four straight and nine of their last 10 games.
The Avalanche are also playing great hockey of late, going 8-1-1 in their last 10 games as they carry a three-game winning streak into this massive matchup.
Both teams are coming off home wins on Tuesday night against teams battling to get into the wild card spots in the Eastern Conference. The Kings knocked off the New York Rangers, 3-1, and the Avalanche earned a 5-2 win vs. the Detroit Red Wings.
