Former Toronto Maple Leaves and Hockey Hall of Famers Darryl Sittler and Wendel Clark are back to lead two teams of NHL stars, Olympic medalists and more for the annual Hockey Night in Brampton Charity game.
This year will mark the fourth instalment of Mayor Patrick Brown’s charity hockey game in support of the Peel Memorial Centre upgrade project and the William Olser Foundation, and will see Sittler and Clark return to coach two teams of all stars.
“These celebrated players and coaches bring decades of NHL experience, leadership and personality to the ice,” the city said in a release. “Their passion for the game and connection to hockey fans across generations will make this year’s event truly special, inspiring the community while supporting a vital cause.”
Big name stars and up-and-coming players have already signed onto the annual charity hockey game including Brampton Steelheads Captain Porter Martone, former Toronto Maple Leafs goalie and Olympic Gold medalist Curtis “Cujo” Joseph, and Blayre Turnbull and Renata Fast of the PWHL Toronto Sceptres.
New additions to the rosters include nine-time NHL All-Star and Hockey Night in Brampton alumnist Jeremy Roenick, NHLer and returning Hockey Night in Brampton star Cody Hodgson, and Terry Ryan of the Montreal Canadiens and star on the hit hockey comedy Shoresy.

Over $14 million was raised in support of the Peel Memorial Centre upgrade project during the 2024 game, and the city is looking to expand on that success again this year.
“With just one month to go, we’re excited to welcome hockey legends Jeremy Roenick, Cody Hodgson and Shoresy star Terry Ryan to this year’s Hockey Night in Brampton lineup, alongside returning iconic coaches Darryl Sittler and Wendel Clark,” the city says. “Their talent, leadership and passion for the game will make this event unforgettable.”
Other names already confirmed for this year’s match include current unrestricted free agent Mark Giordano, former Dylan Chicago Blackhawk Strome, Liam Foudy of the Columbus Blue Jackets and gold medallist with Team Canada at the 2020 IIHF World Junior Championship, former Calgary Flame and Vancouver Canuck Erik Gudbranson, and Jack McBain, who played with the 2022 Canada Olympic team
