Annual event honors individuals who’ve made lasting contributions to hockey
The Hockey Hall of Fame Class of 2024 will be celebrated in Toronto, Canada, from Friday, November 8, to Monday, November 11. This annual event honors individuals who have made lasting contributions to hockey, establishing their legacies within the sport.
The festivities kick off with the Hockey Hall of Fame Game on November 8 at Scotiabank Arena, featuring the Toronto Maple Leafs and Detroit Red Wings. This game highlights current NHL talent and sets the stage for the upcoming celebrations honoring this year’s inductees.
The Hyundai Hockey Hall of Fame Legends Classic follows on Sunday, November 10, also at Scotiabank Arena. This exhibition game features Hall of Fame members and NHL alumni, giving fans a chance to watch some of hockey’s most memorable players in action once again.
Its main event, the Induction Ceremony, takes place on Monday, November 11, at the Hockey Hall of Fame. Here, the Class of 2024 will be officially enshrined, with each inductee recognized for their exceptional impact on the game.
This year’s Hall of Fame class includes seven prominent figures. Pavel Datsyuk, known for his dazzling skill and sportsmanship, earned two Stanley Cups with the Detroit Red Wings, four Lady Byng Trophies, and three Selke Trophies.
Shea Weber, celebrated for his powerful shot and leadership, had an impactful career with the Nashville Predators and Montreal Canadiens.
Jeremy Roenick, one of the top American-born players in NHL history, amassed over 1,200 points and appeared in nine All-Star Games.
Meanwhile, Natalie Darwitz secured multiple World Championship gold medals and Olympic honors, making her a key figure in women’s hockey.
Another standout for Team USA, Krissy Wendell-Pohl achieved World Championship and Olympic success and had an outstanding collegiate career.
The longest-serving general manager in NHL history, David Poile left a significant mark through his roles with the Washington Capitals and Nashville Predators.
Finally, Colin Campbell, a longtime player, coach, and executive, was instrumental in shaping modern hockey rules and operations.
For those unable to attend in person, the ceremony will be broadcast live on TSN in Canada and the NHL Network in the United States.
