The Utah Hockey Club (21-20-7, 49 points, 6th Central) continues its trip north of the border on Sunday with a visit to the Ottawa Senators (24-20-4, 52 points, 6th Atlantic). Utah was defeated by the Winnipeg Jets 5-2 on Friday night. The Hockey Club had its three-game winning streak snapped by the Jets, in the loss. Utah is 6th in the Central Division and trails the second and final wild-card spot in the Western Conference by four points. Ottawa will be playing the second half of a back-to-back when hosting Utah on Sunday after playing at home on Saturday against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Ottawa lost to the Boston Bruins 2-0 on Wednesday and has been shut out in each of the last two games. Ottawa is sixth in the Atlantic division and trails the second and final wild-card spot by just one point. Utah will play without Mikhail Sergachev, Sean Durzi, and Robert Bortuzzo. Ottawa has several players out injured with the most notable being Josh Norris, Nick Jensen, and Linus Ullmark, among others. Utah is slightly below average at both ends of the ice

Ottawa averages 29.3 (11th) shots per game and allows an average of 27.2 (11th). Ottawa’s power play is 12th, scoring 22.2% of the time the Senators have the man advantage. The penalty kill is 19th, holding opponents scoreless 78.3% of the time Ottawa is short-handed.

Brady Tkachuk leads Ottawa in goals with 18 and Josh Norris, who is out injured, is second with 17. Tim Stutzle is the leader in assists with 30 and points with 45. Drake Batherson is second in assists with 26 and 2nd in points with 40. Ottawa has seven active players with 20 points or more. Nick Jenson, who is out injured, leads the Senators in plus/minus at 15. With Linus Ullmark out injured, Anton Forsberg is the first goalie for Ottawa. Forsberg is 5-9-1 with a 2.92 GAA, .889 save percentage and two shutouts.
