The Utah Hockey Club (10-11-4, 24 points, 6th Central) visits Upstate New York on Saturday to play the Buffalo Sabres (11-12-3, 25th points, 5th Atlantic) in an inter-conference showdown. Utah was defeated by the Dallas Stars 2-1 on Monday night and has lost two of the last three. Utah is sixth in the Central division and will play on five days rest. Buffalo was defeated in overtime by the Winnipeg Jets 3-2 on Thursday night. Buffalo has lost each of the last five and is 5th in the Atlantic division. Utah will play without Connor Ingram, John Marino, Sean Durzi and Maveric Lamoureux. Buffalo will play without Jordan Greenway, Sam Lafferty, Rasmus Dahlin and Mattias Samuelsson. 


Utah needs more from its attackers and to give up less at its own end

The Utah Hockey Club has a goals for average of 2.8 and a goals against average of 3.0, which are 23rd and 18th respectively. Utah is averaging 27.0 (28th) shots per game and allowing an average of 28.6 (16th).
