Looking to check out Athens’ official hockey team but can’t swing season tickets? The good news is that the Rock Lobsters are offering single tickets to games for their upcoming 2025-26 season, which kicks off on Friday, Oct. 17 with an away game in Indiana and comes home to Akins Ford Arena in Athens on Saturday, Oct. 25.
There are 28 Rock Lobsters games scheduled to take place at the arena, which is located at 300 N. Thomas St., right behind the Classic Center. Single ticket prices range from $25 to $46 depending on the seat, and parking at the Classic Center deck costs $20. To view the schedule and purchase tickets, visit rocklobstershockey.com.
Founded in 2023, the Athens Rock Lobsters made their debut in 2024 as part of the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL), a professional A-minor league that is focused on developing prospects from various levels of college and junior hockey. The 2025-26 season marks the debut of head coach Garrett Rutledge, who will also serve as the team’s general manager.
“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome our fans back for another incredible season of Rock Lobsters hockey,” Athens Rock Lobsters president Scott Hull said in a press release. “Last year proved Athens is a true hockey town, and this year we’re building on that passion.”
