MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) – Minot Police and Fire will continue their annual tradition Saturday of supporting a local cause while competing on the ice.
The departments will face off for the Seventh Annual Guns N Hoses charity hockey game.
The game is at 3 p.m. at the Pepsi Rink at Maysa Arena. Tickets are $3 at the door.
Proceeds from this year’s game will go to Tyanna Weeks and her family, as she continues her recovery.
Weeks survived a crash last January with an intoxicated driver who was going the wrong way. She overcame incredible odds, and her story inspired legislation passed this session that codifies harsher penalties for those who injure others while driving impaired.
The game will also feature a chuck-a-puck competition and a 50/50 raffle.
