DOLNY KUBIN, Slovakia – The U.S. Women’s National Sled Hockey Team will take on Norway here today (Aug. 28) in its second and final preliminary round game of the 2025 World Para Ice Hockey Women’s Championship at Winter Stadium.
Puck drop is set for 4 p.m. local time/ 10 a.m. ET. Every game from the tournament tis streaming live on the Paralympics YouTube channel and the World Para Ice Hockey Facebook page.
Team USA enters the contest with a 1-0-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) record after skating to an 8-0 win over Australia in the tournament opener on Tuesday (Aug. 26). The historic contest, which was the first-ever game played at the World Para Ice Hockey Women’s Championship, also marked the inaugural win for the U.S. Women’s National Sled Team.
The opening tally from Kelsey DiClaudio (Plum, Pa.) just 13 seconds into the contest is also the first goal scored in World Para Ice Hockey Women’s Championship history.
Norway also enters the contest with a 1-0-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) record after beating Australia 7-0 yesterday (Aug. 27) in its first matchup of the tournament.
The winner of this contest will win Group A and enter Saturday’s (Aug. 30) semifinal round as a top seed.
