Fire departments, police to face off in charity hockey game – Valley News Live


FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – Local first responders will compete in the second annual Battle of the Badges hockey game Dec. 7 at Scheels Arena.
The Fargo Force and Hometown Heroes Committee are hosting the charity event with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and puck drop at 6:30 p.m.
Last year’s inaugural event drew more than 700 fans and raised $17,000 for the Hometown Heroes Fund, according to organizers.
The teams will play three 15-minute periods with 12-minute intermissions. Players from various local departments will wear custom jerseys.
The custom jerseys will be auctioned online with all proceeds benefiting the Hometown Heroes Fund. Raffle tickets and apparel will be available.
Brewtus Brickhouse is also donating 10% of sales from Dec. 7 to the fund, before & after the game.
All proceeds will go to the Hometown Heroes Fund, which provides lifesaving equipment and training for Cass and Clay County emergency service organizations.
Tickets cost $5 for adults at the door, with free admission for children 12 and under. Groups can preorder tickets as well, click here for those details.
