KILLINGLY, Conn. — Hana Lyon scored three goals as Stonington field hockey coach Jenna Tucchio won her 300th career game on Friday in a 4-0 Eastern Connecticut Conference victory over Killingly.
Lyon scored two first-quarter goals on penalty strokes for the Bears (2-0, 1-0 league). Maeve Oakes added a penalty stroke in the first two minutes of the fourth quarter to increase the lead to 3-0 and Lyon wrapped up the scoring with an assist from Sam Russo.
Emma Plew made four saves in the cage to record the shutout.
Stonington hosts Daniel Hand on Wednesday.
