Game 4 of the Oilers vs. Stars playoff series is broadcast on ESPN. If you don’t have cable, the best way to watch the Edmonton-Dallas series is with ESPN+. But, DirecTV and Fubo are also great options since both services carries ESPN too, which will have simulcasts of games. Here’s a breakdown of these options, including free trial and pricing information:
Pros: Low monthly price, exclusive sports coverage
Cons: ESPN channel not included
ESPN+ will carry every game during the NHL Western Conference Finals this year. These post-season games are also airing on ESPN or ABC. If you don’t want to spring for a more expensive live TV streaming service, ESPN+ is an affordable option, starting at $11.99 per month.
Please note: ESPN+ does not include the linear ESPN channels, like ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, ESPNEWS, ESPNU and others.

One of the best ways to watch the 2025 NHL Playoffs, including the Oilers vs. Stars series, is DirecTV. The streaming service offers various streaming options, while it carries ESPN. The best package for the NHL is the “MySports” plan, which carries more than 20 sports channels, which starts with a five-day free trial and costs $69.99 monthly after the trial ends.
Another streaming service that will let you watch Oilers vs. Stars online is Fubo. The service carries ESPN in its “Pro” plan, which costs $84.99 per month. However, Fubo offers a seven-day free trial to start and $20 off your first month of service. Overall, the streamer carries more than 300 channels in total with its “Elite” plan. It’s pretty comprehensive.

Sling is the more wallet-friendly live TV streaming service option. NHL fans can use to watch Oilers vs. Stars and other NHL Playoff games on TNT, ESPN and ABC with the Sling Orange + Blue package. It starts at $33 for the first month of service, $65.99 per month afterwards. Unfortunately, Sling does not currently offer a free trial.
Please note: Pricing and channel availability varies from location to location.

Hulu + Live TV carries ESPN for Oilers vs. Stars livestreams, as well as TNT and ABC to watch more NHL Playoff games. It starts at $82.99 per month, but you get access to more than 90 channels. Subscribers also get access to ESPN+, Disney+, and Hulu’s full on-demand library of movies, TV shows, and originals. Meanwhile, Hulu + Live TV offers a three-day free trial to start watching games.
