The Denver Pioneers, the defending NCAA champion, and the Western Michigan Broncos are set to face off in the 2025 NCAA Men’s Hockey Frozen Four at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis.
Denver, led by players like Jack Devine and Zeev Buium, will look to continue their momentum after an upset win over top-seeded Boston College.
Western Michigan, meanwhile, will rely on their star freshman goalie Hampton Slukynsky, and the offensive prowess of Alex Bump to try and capitalize on scoring opportunities.
The teams are very familiar with each other, having played a pair of regular season games, with Western Michigan taking the first game 3-2 and Denver winning the second 3-2. More recently, Western Michigan won 4-3 in 2OT in the NCHC Frozen Faceoff Championship.
Both teams are seeking to make history, with Denver aiming to win its third national championship in four years, and Western Michigan hoping to claim its first title ever.
