The Avalanche put on a spectacle for fans at Ball Arena in Gabe Landeskog’s return. Unfortunately, the Avs couldn’t pull off a win in Game 3. Also, the Toronto Maple Leafs are for real?!

Landeskog’s return didn’t have a storybook ending. But you can’t argue it was a monumental moment for this group, and one that will be remembered in Avalanche history. The captain is back, and he actually looked pretty good. I’m excited to see what he brings in Game 4 and beyond. He’s only going to get better.
My colleague Colleen Flynn broke down what she felt was the difference in Game 3. That next one on Saturday is suddenly a must-win.
Tampa Bay Lightning vs Florida Panthers: So much for the Lightning having the upper hand. Florida has won both road games as the series heads to Sunrise for Game 3.

Bednar should require the boys to watch the western conference game recaps from last night. I’ve watched them and all I see is shots on net through traffic, no hero passes, lots of deflections, and six power play goals. Oh yeah, and rebounds from right in front. And Makar needs to take extra smelling salts if that’s what it takes to wake his butt up.
Good idea. I had also thought about showing Mackinnon tapes of Sakic and Forsberg who were playing in the playoffs. Maybe it could inspire him.
Bednar pissed on what should have been one of the most electric nights in Avalanche hockey. Do that again and he should get his ass fired. Or his hair cut at the very least.
With Lou Lamoriello, Bednar would have no choice but to cut his hair. There are rumors that Lou is available. Maybe it could help get Nelson back on track.
