The Stars have shown strength within their division, with a 5-1 division record, and rank second in the Western Central.
In division play, Dallas has been far sharper than Edmonton. That gap shows up in the standings. The Oilers have stumbled to a 1-3 mark inside the Pacific, leaving them sixth in the division and chasing ground in the conference.
