
In what could be a preview of the gold medal match, Team USA and Team Canada will face off in a Group A match on Tuesday afternoon.

Coppell’s Hannah Bilka and the rest of the Team USA women’s hockey team are going into the match undefeated at 3-0. Canada, at 2-0, is also undefeated after a 5-1 rout of Czechia on Monday afternoon.
The Americans have been formidable so far in the Olympics with a +14 goal differential, winning 5-1 over Czechia, 5-0 over Finland and 5-0 over Switzerland. Canada, with two games played, has a +8 differential.

Team USA leads the pack in Group A with nine points. Canada moved into second place on Monday with their win over Czechia and has six points. Canada will play their fourth Group A game on Thursday against Finland.
Bilka, 24, scored her first Olympic goal on Monday, a redirect that found the back of the net in the early minutes of the third period. She finished the game +2 and took three shots.
Bilka took four shots on goal against Finland and finished the game against Czechia +1 with an assist, a point and three shots on goal.
Bilka, of Coppell, currently plays for the Seattle team in the Professional Women’s Hockey League, is a member of the USA Women’s National Team, and, most recently, was a member of Team USA, helping bring home the World Championship in 2024.
Bilka also spent some time with the Dallas Stars youth hockey when she was younger.
