The Carolina Hurricanes are currently down 3-1 to the Florida Panthers in the Eastern Conference. However, after losing each of the first three games of the series, the Hurricanes pulled off a massive 3-0 win against the Panthers in Game 4.
Now, the Hurricanes will be back at home for Game 5, and NBA legend Charles Barkley made it clear that he strongly believes that the Hurricanes will pick up another victory during it.
While on TNT, Barkley confidently predicted that the Hurrcanes will win Game 5 and go back to Florida for Game 6, which would take place on May 30 if needed.
“Let me tell you something. Shout out to the Hurricanes,” Barkley said. “Coming back last night after three zip. Now we going back to Carolina, and let me tell you something. They’re going back to Sunrise because the Hurricanes are going to win tomorrow… We going back to Sunrise 3-2.”
Clearly, Barkley liked what he saw from the Hurricanes in Game 4. Now, the Hurricanes will try to make Barkley’s prediction come and pick up a win to avoid being eliminated by the Panthers. It will be fascinating to see if the Canes can defeat the Panthers from here.
