The Washington Capitals will skate on their home ice Tuesday night as they kick off a best-of-seven series against the Carolina Hurricanes in the NHL Eastern Conference Playoffs. Game 1 is scheduled for Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET with tickets still available to watch live.

NHL Eastern Conference Playoffs 2nd round – Game 1
The Capitals made short work of the Montreal Canadiens in the first round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs, winning that best-of-seven series in five games. That includes a perfect 3-0 record in home games against Montreal and a home win to seal the series, 4-1, in last Wednesday’s Game 5. Washington was a runaway winner over the Hurricanes in winning the East’s Metropolitan Division in the regular season. The two sides split their four meetings during the season.
Carolina arrives in the second round of the East playoffs by beating the New Jersey Devils in five games in their first-round series.
