Calgary Flames vs. Philadelphia Flyers: Picks, Predictions, Odds and Player Props – news.bet365.com

The Calgary Flames and Philadelphia Flyers hit the ice on Sunday in what will be both of these teams’ second game in as many nights.
Saturday’s matches did not go well for either team, as similar multi-goal losses will look to be rectified in this one.
Both the Flames and Flyers have minimal expectations, but Philadelphia has shown they are a competitive team on most nights, while Calgary just looks lost early into the season.
Well within a retooling phase, the Philadelphia Flyers have held their ground in the league so far. At 6-4-1, they sport a winning record and are within range of all teams in the Eastern Conference.
Making the playoffs is not necessarily the goal, but this strong start is inserting high levels of confidence and morale within the group.
Prior to Saturday night’s 5-2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Flyers were riding a three-game winning streak and they should return to form against a Flames team (2-9-2) who has just one win since their season-opener.
Calgary is last in the NHL in goals per game (2.2), ninth-worst goals against average (3.23), and the fifth-worst power play (14%), so Philadelphia can exploit their weaknesses.
Off-season acquisition Trevor Zegras leads the team in assists (9) and points (13), which has been huge for the 24-year-old with high potential who needed a change of scenery.
Tyson Forester (23-years-old), Bobby Brink (24-years-old), and Matvei Michkov (20-years-old) are all within the top point producers on the team. The future is bright, and they look poised to win this game.
Nazem Kadri is one of the best players currently on the Calgary Flames, as well as one of the main leaders. He is a top candidate to get traded at the deadline for future assets, but for now he is focused on trying to get these Flames out of a major hole.
He is known to be a competitor and will be a threat in this game. So far this season, Kadri has just three goals, which comparative to the overall team’s lack of scoring, is a decent total thus far.
However, he has produced 40 shots in 13 games (3.1 shots per game) and is averaging over 20 minutes of play each game.
Kadri has also been shooting lots lately with 13 shots in his last three games (4.33 per game) and he should be able to maintain that sort of level in this game.
It seems evident that he, along with many others, are desperate to get their third win of the season. He is a typical driver of the offense and will be doing everything in his power to inspire his side.
Bobby Brink is in his third full season, and fourth season overall in the NHL. Each year he seems to be improving, and is coming off of career highs in goals (12), assists (29), and points (41).
Early into the campaign, Brink has produced 7 points in 11 games, which is tied for the third-most on the team.
In a game where offense may come somewhat easier than most games, Brink has the chance to snap a two-game pointless streak.
The Flames will have many other players to deal with, and Brink could have a big impact on proceedings.
