The Penguins have been out of the postseason chase for a while, but they've played with pride down the stretch. The Bruins are just playing out the string and won't offer much resistance, per our NHL betting picks.

The Pittsburgh Penguins host the Boston Bruins on Sunday afternoon in a battle between two teams at the end of disappointing seasons.
My Bruins vs. Penguins predictions and NHL picks are expecting Pittsburgh to take care of business on home ice on Sunday, April 13.

My analysis
The Pittsburgh Penguins are finishing out the season strong. They’ve outscored the Blackhawks and Devils 9-2 in their last two games and have a 20-13 goal differential during a 4-1-1 stretch.
On the flip side, the Boston Bruins are coming off a 5-2 home loss to the Blackhawks after a surprising 7-2 win in New Jersey. That victory was just Boston’s second win since March 13. The B’s have been outscored 60-35 in the last month while going 2-11-1 in that span, starting with a 10-game losing streak.
The Bruins have felt the impacts of selling at the deadline combined with some injuries. They have the second-worst Expected Goals Share (39.88%) at 5-on-5 in the last 10 games while the Penguins are in the middle of the pack at 48.56%.
Both the Penguins and Bruins have played well enough at home this season while struggling on the road. Pittsburgh is 20-14-5 on home ice this year while Boston is 12-25-3 on the road, so even if this price seems a bit high, it makes sense given those splits and recent performance.
Penguins moneyline
Sidney Crosby 1+ point
Ville Koivunen 1+ point
The Penguins may have disappointed this season but Sidney Crosby certainly hasn’t. He has 89 points (32 points, 57 assists) in 78 games. He’s scored a goal in two straight games, three of his last four, and five of his last seven contests.
Rookie winger Ville Koivunen has enjoyed playing alongside Crosby on the Penguins’ top line. He’s picked up an assist in three straight games and has four helpers in his six NHL games thus far.
