Boston’s honeymoon period under interim head coach Joe Sacco lasted about as long as a two-week all-inclusive holiday. Things have gone wayward since Sacco’s 7-2-0 start, with his Bruins sharing the fourth-worst points percentage since Dec. 9 (.400).
Boston enters Saturday’s game at Amerant Bank Arena (7 p.m. ET, ABC) against the Florida Panthers on the back of six straight defeats.
The Panthers, meanwhile, aren’t playing nearly as well as their Stanley Cup odds indicate, but they won both previous meetings against the B’s.

Playing one of Florida’s most loathed rivals elicits the best version of Bennett. I wouldn’t be surprised if he draws added motivation from Brad Marchand’s unparalleled knack of resembling a bee buzzing in the ear of each opponent he faces.
Bennett fired four and six shots on goal, respectively, in the first two encounters against Boston this season. He scored two goals in the second meeting, which Florida won 6-4 at home. Bennett hit the Over on this prop in four of the last six against the Bruins.
He’s also enjoying a productive spell regarding his shot output. He has at least three in five of the last seven games, averaging 3.3. Bennett has benefitted from home ice, as he has hit the Over in six of the previous eight games at Amerant Bank Arena.
Boston has lost six in a row on the road and is the most penalized team this season, which should help Bennett, who plays an influential role on the second power-play unit.
The 28-year-old has attempted at least eight shots in two of the last three, another indicator of his willingness to let loose. A winning $10 bet will yield a $9.43 profit.

Reinhart has just one goal in the last seven games. However, that goal came in the Panthers’ last game in Utah on Wednesday. He hasn’t scored in consecutive games since lighting the lamp against Toronto and Carolina at the end of November.
That makes me think he’s overdue, not only because of his recent barren patch but also because he has scored in at least two games in a row five times this season. He also scores goals against the Bruins as consistently as the sun shines in Florida.
Reinhart scored three goals in the two previous meetings against Boston this season and has eight in the last 10 against the B’s. A winning $10 bet would profit $14.
