Bruins’ Mark Kastelic takes on NHL’s biggest player in preseason fight – MassLive.com

BOSTON — Mark Kastelic took on the NHL’s biggest man and one of its scariest fighters in the Bruinsfirst fight of the preseason.
At the end of the first period of Boston’s final tune-up game before Wednesday’s opener, Kastelic took on Rangers’ heavyweight Matt Rempe.
Kastelic, who stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 234 pounds, gives away height, reach and weight to New York’s 6-foot-9, 261-pound brawler.
But that didn’t stop him from engaging. After the two men each served two minutes late in the period for unsportsmanlike conduct, they came out of the box and got after it again.
Neither player landed any direct blows as most of the scuffle was each man holding off the other’s arm.
Rempe connected on a pair of glancing blows to the back of Kastelic’s helmet as they spun down.
