The 2025 NCAA Hockey Tournament commences with an exciting matchup between Boston University Hockey and Ohio State in the Toledo Regional at the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio. 
Boston U enters with a solid 21-13-2 record, led by junior Quinn Hutson and standout freshman goaltender Mikhail Yegorov. 
Ohio State, boasting a 24-13-2 record, is driven by graduate forward Gunnarwolfe Fontaine and senior goaltender Logan Terness. 
The Terriers bring a high-powered offense, averaging 3.72 goals per game, while Ohio State leans on its strong defensive play, with senior goaltender Terness helping to limit opponents to just 2.23 goals per game. 
Both teams are primed for a competitive showdown, with the winner advancing to the Toledo Regional Final.

The Boston University vs. Ohio State hockey game will be broadcast on ESPNU and ESPN+ at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 27.
There are conflicting records about how many times Boston has played Ohio State in men’s ice hockey. 
Some sources say they have played three times. Some say they have played two times. 
Either way, Boston University is undefeated against Ohio State, with the most recent game coming in the first round of the 2009 NCAA Hockey Tournament. BU won that game 8-3.
