Stars winger Jason Robertson has been firing at will of late, erasing a middling start to his season, and will be aggressive at home against the Blues tonight.
NHL
The St. Louis Blues came away with a 4-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday for their fourth straight victory. Now, they head to Texas where the Dallas Stars await.
The Stars are coming off a 6-2 win of their own over the Kings on Friday night. Dallas is a big home favorite on Sunday evening against St. Louis.
My Blues vs. Stars predictions are targeting a Dallas winger to stay aggressive in the best NHL picks on Sunday, March 2.
My best bet
Jason Robertson Over 2.5 shots on goal (-145 at DraftKings)
My analysis
It’s been a tale of two seasons for Dallas Stars winger Jason Robertson. He’s come alive in the latter half of the season after a slow start.
Robertson had just eight points and 41 shots in his first 17 games. Since then, the winger has 51 points and 126 shots in 42 contests.
The Stars winger has been even more impressive of late, tallying multiple points in three straight games with a hat trick, a goal and an assist, and then a goal and two assists on Friday night. He racked up four, five, and six shots on goal in those games as well.
Robertson has now gone Over 2.5 SOG in eight straight games and 14 of his last 20 to boot. He’s racked up 26 shot attempts in his last three games and is bound to keep that up at home against a tired St. Louis Blues team playing the second half of a back-to-back.
Jason Robertson Over 2.5 SOG
Jason Robertson 1+ points
Stars -1.5
Robertson is red hot right now and the Blues won’t slow him down. Jordan Binnington started last night at home so it should be backup Joel Hofer in net.
The Stars are coming off a 6-2 win against the Kings and are 21-7-1 at home while the Blues are 14-12-3 on the road. I’ll take Dallas on the puck line for this same-game parlay.
