Tonight’s game between the St. Louis Blues and Edmonton Oilers offers an intriguing prospect, as the struggling and banged-up hosts welcome a Blues team to Rogers Place (10 p.m. ET, TNT) that is a game removed from winning 12 in a row.
Our Blues vs. Oilers prediction and player props analyze both teams’ personnel issues while offering a game pick featuring Zach Hyman, Jordan Kyrou, and Zack Bolduc.

Here are my best Blues vs. Oilers and player props for tonight’s NHL matchup with my pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale. Be sure to check out the rest of our NHL picks along with our guide on how to bet on NHL.
As of 10 a.m. ET, the Oilers are the -126 moneyline favorites to beat the Blues in tonight’s NHL matchup at 10 p.m. ET from Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alta. I predict the Blues will win.
Here are the latest Blues vs. Oilers odds and betting lines from our best live betting sites.
Tonight’s game in Edmonton would represent a prime letdown spot for the Blues under normal circumstances. Winning 12 consecutive games – the most of any team this season – is not only improbable and challenging, but it’s incredibly taxing. Successive losses often follow once a streak of that length is broken.
However, the Blues are facing an Oilers team with more issues than a botched house renovation. The list of injury absentees is mounting, with Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Evander Kane, Mattias Ekholm, Trent Frederic, and John Klingberg unavailable. Evan Bouchard looks lost without Ekholm, and the Oilers’ lack of secondary scoring has been rearing its gruesome head, with three goals or fewer in the last seven games.
The Oilers have mustered three goals in the 150 minutes since Draisaitl’s most recent injury. Those goals came against the lowly San Jose Sharks and the Anaheim Ducks.
While the Blues might endure involuntary complacency after pulling off such an impressive feat, I can’t see the Oilers finding enough offense to get the job done.
Plus, they aren’t nearly as defensively sound without Ekholm, who provides the team’s backbone. I can’t lay money on an Oilers squad that barely resembles the one that will enter the postseason. The Oilers, surprisingly, are still the favorites, providing even more reason to back the Blues.

Best odds: -122 via FanDuel ($10 to win $8.20)
Hyman hasn’t tallied a point in five games, epitomizing the Oilers’ secondary scoring issues. He’s only hit the Over on this prop in two of his previous five outings. That’s part of why I’m backing Hyman to record a productive shooting night, as he’s back at home and in a position where his team desperately needs him to step up.
He’s also fired at least three shots on goal in nine straight games against the Blues. FanDuel offers the top price among our best NHL betting sites
Best odds: -122 via FanDuel ($10 to win $8.20)
Kyrou is one of the most influential reasons for the Blues’ meteoric ascension, scoring 15 points in the last 13 games. He’s tallied at least one point in nine of the previous 13 games and 13 in the last 10 with Edmonton.
The winger has logged at least one point in five of the previous six against the Oilers, scoring nine points in that stretch.
Best odds: -110 via BetMGM ($10 to win $9.09)

Bolduc boasts impressive shot-production stats in limited minutes. He fired six shots on goal at home against Colorado on Saturday in fewer than 11 minutes of ice time.
The forward hit the Over on this prop in five of the previous seven games and 12 of the last 18. He’s produced some success against the Oilers while amassing seven shots in the previous three meetings, and playing a shorthanded Edmonton team should help.
