The Big Ten Network today announced the 2024-25 Big Ten men’s ice hockey broadcast schedule, with a record 30 games appearing on BTN and the FOX Sports App. Television coverage includes the Big Ten Tournament semifinals and championship game on March 15 and March 22.
Coverage begins tonight with a matchup between defending Big Ten Champion and No. 4 ranked Michigan State vs. No. 2 Boston College. As part of a doubleheader on Friday, Dec. 13, Frozen Four participant No. 10 Michigan hosts No. 9 Wisconsin at 6 p.m. ET, before No. 5 Minnesota hosts No. 4 Michigan State at 8:30 p.m.
The Big Ten will host three outdoor conference games, along with one Western Collegiate Hockey Association women’s game, at Wrigley Field on BTN as part of the Frozen Confines: Big Ten Hockey Series. On Friday, Jan. 3, No. 10 Michigan takes on Ohio State at 5 p.m. ET, and Penn State faces No. 20 Notre Dame at 8:30 p.m. ET. A WCHA women’s game between Ohio State and Wisconsin will take place on Saturday, Jan. 4 at 5:30 p.m. ET, followed by No. 4 Michigan State taking on No. 10 Wisconsin at 9 p.m. ET
On Saturday, Feb. 8, No. 4 Michigan State and No. 10 Michigan face off at 8 p.m. ET in the annual Duel in the D from Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. Conference play concludes on Saturday, March 1, as No. 9 Minnesota takes on Penn State at 8 p.m. ET.
The latest USCHO poll includes five Big Ten teams ranked in the top 20, led by No. 4 Michigan State, and followed by No. 5 Minnesota, No. 9 Wisconsin, No. 10 Michigan, and No. 20 Notre Dame.
All games that do not appear on BTN, with the exception of home games at Notre Dame, will be available on B1G+, BTN’s subscription service for non-televised events and archives of classic games and original content. Fans can subscribe to B1G+ with an annual pass for $89.99 per year or a monthly pass for $12.99 per month.
