Anaheim fell to 20-23-6 after a 4-2 road loss to the Blackhawks. The Ducks, favored by -1.5 goals, failed to cover the puck line. The total was set at 6.5 goals, but the combined score of 6 fell just short.
Trailing 3-0, Anaheim finally got on the board at 9:44 in the third period with a goal from Brock McGinn. They added another with just 4 seconds left, but it wasn’t enough to close the gap.
Anaheim’s offense was held scoreless until the third period in their 4-2 loss to Chicago. Brock McGinn netted his second goal of the season, while Mason McTavish added his second as well, with McTavish’s goal coming on a power play with just four seconds left in the game.
The Ducks fired 39 shots on goal but were hampered by 16 giveaways. Ryan Strome picked up his fourth assist of the season, and Troy Terry added his fifth assist on McTavish’s late goal.
Anaheim’s defense struggled early, giving up the first three goals, including two on the power play. Lukas Dostal finished with 25 saves and an 86.2% save percentage. The Ducks also had 6 takeaways and 15 hits.
Seattle’s latest defeat brings their record to 22-26-3. The Kraken failed to cover the puck line as underdogs, with the total set at 6 goals, but the combined score of 2 fell well short of that mark.
All the scoring in the game came in the first period, with the Bruins finding the net at 16:37 and 10:03. Seattle’s offense was held scoreless, managing 23 shots on goal.
Seattle’s offense was held scoreless in their 2-0 loss to Boston. The Kraken took 23 shots on goal but couldn’t find the net, and they recorded 19 giveaways.
Seattle failed to score in any period, including on the power play. The Bruins scored twice in the first period, and the game remained 2-0 through the final horn.
Defensively, Seattle allowed both of Boston’s goals in the first period, with the second coming on a power play. However, the Kraken’s defense held strong after that, not conceding in the second or third periods. Goalie Joey Daccord made 31 saves with a 93.9% save percentage.
For a moneyline pick, I’m taking the Ducks to pick up on a win over the Kraken and the road. With the moneyline sitting at +116, I’ll be locking in a bet on the Ducks straight-up.
Our projections have the Ducks pulling out a win as the underdog. But if you’re not as bullish as we are on the Ducks, we’d recommend at least getting a bet down on them to cover the puck line.
If you’re looking at the the over/under line set at 5.5 goals, our prediction is that this game will stay below that threshold, and we strongly suggest placing a bet on the under.
