American Olympic Hockey Team Projections: Latest Odds to Make Team USA 2026 – Covers.com

Team USA's Mens Olympic hockey roster will be announced soon. Check out the latest odds and roster projections.
NHL players will appear in the Olympics for the first time since 2014 when the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics take place on February 6-22, 2026.
Team USA has begun to take shape, with six players having already been named to the squad. But there are still 19 spots up for grabs, including all three goaltending openings.
Let’s take a look at the odds to make US Mens Olympic Hockey Team, as well as the latest Olympic roster projections and best bets to make the team.
Odds courtesy of FanDuel Canada as of 12-18.
Projections are based on implied probability from odds available at FanDuel.
Vincent Trocheck (+115 at FanDuel)
Vincent Trocheck was a part of Team USA during the 4 Nations Face-Off, and he’s averaged just below a point a game since returning from an early-season injury on November 10.
Trocheck’s strong two-way play was on display during the 4 Nations tournament, and his ability in the face-off dot is tough to top. Add an alternate captaincy with the New York Rangers to his list of intangibles, and you’ve got a solid case for inclusion on the Olympic roster at plus-odds.
Bryan Rust (+1100 at FanDuel)
Bryan Rust was invited to Team USA’s Olympic Orientation camp back in the summer on the strength of a 31-goal, 65-point campaign with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2024-25.
Rust is off to another sharp start with the Pens this year at just below a point-per-game pace. The two-time Stanley Cup winner is hard to ignore at this price.
Noah Hanifin (-195 at FanDuel)
Noah Hanifin is the longest price to make the team of the Top 8 defensemen in the market. Barring any injuries, or a setback in Adam Fox’s recovery, this octet seems to be set in stone.
Hanifin was a part of the 4 Nations tournament and is still widely regarded as one of the best stay-at-home defensemen in the league, regardless of birthplace.
Joey Daccord (+340 at FanDuel)
Connor Hellebuyck is back from injury, but he remains off the betting board as it seems all but certain he’ll be selected.
Joey Daccord, an Olympic Orientation invitee, has a respectable .893 SV% and 2.89 GAA on the season. If you’re looking for a long shot in this market, he’s your best bet.
*already named to the team.
The roster deadline is December 31, 2025, so expect the roster for the US Mens Olympic Hockey Team to be announced shortly afterwards.
The first game involving Team USA will either be February 11 or 12, 2026.
Matthew Tkachuk was named to Team USA back in the summer, but an August surgery for a torn adductor/sports hernia has cast some doubt on his availability for the Olympics. He resumed skating in November and is targeting a return to the ice later in December, well ahead of the start of the Milan-Cortina games.
