Charlotte goes up 2-1 at 3:12 of the second, as Victor Mancini blows a tire just inside the Abbotsford one and the puck is turned over. It eventually gets to a wide-open  Brett Chorske and he fires one past Artūrs Šilovs. The 6-foot-7 Chorske is the son of former NHLer Tom Chorske who played a season in the BCHL with the Wenatchee Wild in 2019-20.

Jeff Paterson doing Jeff Paterson things about how Linus Karlsson is doing Linus Karlsson things.
Linus Karlsson now up to 35 goals in 55 games for Abbotsford #Canucks this season (23 reg season & 12 in playoffs)
6:45 p.m.
Sammy Blais gets the lone call — a roughing penalty —  out of a scrum around the Abbotsford net in the waning seconds of the first. You love the edge he plays with it, but it’s easy to suggest that referees do pay extra attention when he’s on the ice because of it. Period ends 1-1.
6:37 p.m.
We’re tied 1-1, as Linus Karlsson scores on the backdoor off a rebound on a 5-on-3 power play for Abbotsford at 15:04.

It’s 1-0 for the Checkers. Abby gets caught with too many men up the ice, the puck goes the other way and Jack Devine sets up Ben Steeves for a tap-in on a 2-on-1 at 12:55 of the first.

Another chance from Arshdeep Bains. He’s got better and better as these playoffs have played out. Is he ready for regular duty next season in Vancouver? Asking for some friends.
“Bains is such a creative player,” says radio analyst Landon Ferraro.

Can’t say enough about how well Bains has played this postseason.

Does it all.

Abbotsford play-by-play man Brandon Astle talking about how hot a ticket tonight is and how difficult it was to get a seat. “I barely got in,” Astle said.

Point show from left circle by Charlotte’s Michael Benning, but Artūrs Šilovs swallows it up in the Abbotsford net from the nephew of former Canucks GM Jim Benning.
