On Saturday, a late goal in the third period would end the University of Minnesota Duluth’s hopes of defeating the University of Minnesota, falling 1-0.
The solo goal of the game would come at 11:21 in the third period, credited to Abbey Murphy, but the puck would bounce off of the back glass before falling back into the net to make the game-ending goal.
UMD’s goaltender Eve Gascon would make 48 saves for the game, compared to the University of Minnesota’s goaltender Hannah Clark’s 22 saves on the game.
