Filip Forsberg has led the Predators in goal scoring for nearly every season he’s been in Nashville. In the second period against Utah, we saw exactly why.

For only the fifth time this season, the Predators scored the first goal. Filip Forsberg collected a pass from Roman Josi and sent a wrist shot by Utah goaltender Connor Ingram.
It was Forsberg’s seventh goal of the season and his third on the power play.
Later in the first period, Utah took two penalties, one for hooking and one for a high stick, putting Nashville back on the power play for four minutes. Jonathan Marchessault tipped home a Roman Josi shot to make it 2-0 Predators.
The Predators were given six minutes of power play time in the first period and they capitalized with two goals.
