The 2026 Olympics are the first time in 12 years that NHL players are representing their countries for men’s hockey on the world stage.
For hockey-loving couples, Saturday, February 14th, 2026, is a wonderful day to cuddle up and watch some hockey. Depending on what time zone you live in, you would have to wake up very early to catch the first games of the day.
Here are the men’s Olympic hockey games being broadcast today, where you can watch them, and what NHL teams are represented by those countries.
There are four games on the schedule for Saturday, February 14, 2026.
February 14th Games:
Finland plays Italy at 10:30 AM EST. Italy is the only team at the Olympics without an NHL player on its roster. This game will be broadcast on CBC, Sportsnet, and ICI Tele, and can be streamed on ICI TOU.TV, Sportsnet +, and CBC Gem.
However, you won’t be able to see the USA vs Denmark on all of the same channels. That game is viewable on TSN, ICI Tele, and on the ICI TOU.TV and CBC Gem streaming platforms.
These are the final scores for the two games that have finished:
Sweden put the pedal to the metal by firing 52 shots on goal against Slovakia. Elias Pettersson of the Vancouver Canucks scored two goals, including the game-winner. The other goal scorers for Sweden were Adrian Kempe of the Los Angeles Kings, Lucas Raymond of the Detroit Red Wings, and Joel Eriksson Ek of the Minnesota Wild.
Latvia upset Team Germany 4-3. Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Arturs Silovs secured the win for Latvia by stopping 26 shots. Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl recorded a single assist in the loss. Draisaitl could have added a goal to his boxscore, but was denied by Silovs on a breakaway during the third period.
Both Latvia and Germany play on Sunday, February 15, 2026. Germany will face Team USA, while Latvia will look to continue its winning ways against Denmark.
Of the countries yet to play Olympic hockey on Saturday, Team USA has the most NHL players on its roster.
In net, Jeremy Swayman of the Boston Bruins and Connor Hellebuyck of the Winnipeg Jets have been the goaltenders. Dallas Stars goaltender Jake Oettinger is the team’s third goalie. Every team can only dress two goalies, and Oettinger has served as a healthy scratch, being the team’s third goalie.
Toronto Maple Leafs center Auston Matthews is serving as the captain of Team USA. Additionally, Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk and Bruins defender Charlie McAvoy serve as Team USA’s two alternate captains during the men’s Olympic hockey event.
Some of the other teams represented by Team USA are the Anaheim Ducks, Buffalo Sabres, New York Rangers, and Ottawa Senators.
