One day after U.S. women’s hockey won its third gold medal, the U.S. men’s team continues its quest for its first gold since the “Miracle on Ice.”
The U.S. men’s hockey team plays Slovakia in the semifinals of the 2026 Winter Olympics on Friday, Feb. 20, at Santagiulia Ice Hockey Arena in Milano. The game is set to begin at 3:10 p.m. ET and will be televised on NBC.
Team USA is coming off a 2-1 overtime victory against Sweden in the quarterfinal round, one that saw Quinn Hughes score the game-winning goal in overtime to send the U.S. to the semis. Slovakia, meanwhile, had a much easier time making it to the semis with a 6-2 win over Germany that featured five different goal-scorers from the Central European side.
The winner of this game will advance to the gold-medal game on Sunday, Feb. 22, to play Canada, while the loser will play Finland in the bronze-medal game.
