Canada vs USA hockey in Olympics gold medal game, how to watch, predictions – The Tennessean

Following a dramatic semifinal round on Feb. 20, the gold medal game for men’s hockey at the 2026 Winter Olympics is set between Canada and United States.
The gold medal game will take place on Feb. 22 at 7:10 a.m. CT at Milano Santagiulia Ice Hockey Arena in Milan, Italy.
The matchup comes after Canada beat Finland 3-2, clinching the game on Nathan MacKinnon’s goal with 35 seconds remaining. The United States beat Slovakia 6-2, led by Jack Hughes’ two goals.
Here’s how to watch the Olympic men’s hockey final.
The United States is seeking its first Olympic medal since 2010, when it won silver at Vancouver. Canada last won gold in 2014 and last won a medal in 2018, the bronze medal in Pyeongchang.
Canada is still dealing with an injury to captain Sidney Crosby, but rumors are swirling he’ll return for the gold medal game. The United States held forward Tage Thompson out of the third period against Slovakia with an injury, though it was apparently precautionary. Assuming the rosters are fully healthy, Canada is the clear favorite. But the United States is firing on all cylinders and just dismantled a talented Slovakia team. This is the most anticipated international hockey game in decades and should be a close one. United States wins 4-3.
