Boston Bruins vs. Chicago Blackhawks: Picks, Predictions, Odds and Player Props – Bet365

Catch a lively East vs. West Saturday night NHL mashup with the Boston Bruins traveling to the United Center to challenge the Chicago Blackhawks at 8 pm ET.
The two sides previously met early in the season, with the Bruins edging a lively contest in overtime 4-3 to go top of the Atlantic Division.
The Bruins’ first-place reign in the Atlantic ended in mid-October, but they have continued to impress  in one of the most closely packed divisions, putting on a 7-2-1 record in their last 10 games.
They put 10 goals past the Rangers last Saturday, dished out two shutout wins in a row against the Penguins and Red Wings, and most recently edged the Kraken 4-2 on Thursday to extend their winning streak to five.
Outside of a four-game winning streak to kick off January, the Blackhawks haven’t truly hit their stride this season, as they remain near the bottom of the Central Division with 45 points.
They have lost their last two home games, the first on Monday to the Oilers, and again on Thursday to the Flames, showcasing a 5-4-1 record in their last 10.
The Bruins have performed well this month, winning their first away game of the New Year and going undefeated in regulation for five straight games. They have also covered a -1.5 spread in four of their last five, scoring 22 goals.
The Blackhawks take home ice tonight at +100 odds on the moneyline, but have only covered a +1.5 spread in two of their last five games.
All things considered, Boston should be able to rally for this matchup against a team with a -18 goal differential, which makes the Bruins -1.5 on the puck line the best option.
The Bruins have only allowed five goals in their last five games and four of those contests have featured six goals or fewer in total.
The Blackhawks have only scored 13 goals in their last five and they have managed just one goal per game for three-straight home contests.
With the Blackhawks failing to find goals with any kind of regularity in their home stadium in recent games, and the Bruins playing a well-structured defense in their last five straight, this one looks set to be a low scorer.
The Bruins’ points-leading right winger David Pastrnak tucked away his 20th goal of the season to help his team claim victory over the Kraken on Thursday.
He’s got three goals so far in January, but he’s only getting started, as the Czechia-born superstar is set to score against the Blackhawks, most likely in a Boston win.
