At the same time, Cale Makar is celebrated as arguably the best defenseman in hockey. He’s supported by a group of defensemen who have become well-acquainted over the past year. Talented players like Devon Toews, Drew Doughty, and Josh Morrissey team up with the two-time Norris Trophy winner, Makar.
However, goaltending remains a potential concern for Canada on the journey to gold. Although the Canadians successfully navigated similar challenges during the 4 Nations Face-Off, the trio consisting of Jordan Binnington, Logan Thompson, and Darcy Kuemper remains less than ideal.
