MILAN, Italy — Former St. Cloud State women’s hockey forward Laura Kluge scored a goal with 1:29 left in regulation to give Germany a 2-1 Olympic win over Italy on Tuesday, Feb. 10.
Kluge, who played for the Huskies from 2017-21, also had an assist and played 21:55 in the game. SCSU senior forward Svenja Voigt also played 17:54 for Germany. Kluge has three goals, four assists and is plus-6 in four Olympic games.

Germany is 2-1-0-1 in Group B.
Former St. Cloud State goalie Sanni Ahola had 14 saves to help Finland beat Switzerland. Ahola played for the Huskies from 2020-25. She is 1-1 with a 3.06 goals-against average and .906 save percentage in two Olympic games.
SCSU sophomore defenseman Siiri Yrjölä played 5:43 for Finland and former SCSU forward Jenniina Nylund had an assist and played 13:36 for Finland. She played for the Huskies from 2018-23.
SCSU junior forward Laura Zimmermann played 12:15 for Switzerland.
Finland is 1-2 in Group A. Switzerland is 0-3-1 in Group A.
In the other Olympic games of the day, Team USA defeated Canada, 5-0, and Sweden defeated Japan, 4-0.
