The United States men’s hockey team is on a mission to makes its own Olympic history.
With the NHL pausing its season for the first time since 2014, the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan Cortina, Italy, will host the men’s ice hockey event with NHL stars and elite international players from across the globe.
The United States is one of the top contenders for the gold medal at these Games. They are seeking their first gold since the 1980 “Miracle On Ice” team shocked the world in Lake Placid, New York.
Canada, Sweden, Finland and Switzerland are going to be formidable contenders, however, making this a truly exciting Olympic Games.
Some of the U.S. stars include team captain Auston Matthews, Brady and Matthew Tkachuk, Jack Eichel and Quinn Hughes. It’s virtually the same team that took Canada to overtime in last year’s 4 Nations Face Off tournament final.
