One of hockey’s greatest rivalries returns, as the United States takes on Canada in the Americans’ final game of the Olympic preliminary round.
Since women’s hockey debuted at the 1998 Olympics, Team USA has faced Canada in six out of a possible seven gold medal games. Canada has won five of those matchups, including the final game of the 2022 tournament.
Since then, though, bragging rights have belonged to Team USA. In the last three IIHF world championships and the annual United States-Canada rivalry series, the U.S. has 13 wins and nine losses against its neighbors to the north.
In the latest rivalry series, which features many of the same players on the Olympics rosters, Team USA swept Canada in four games.
Here’s how to watch the United States’ upcoming Olympics matchup:
The puck drops for USA vs. Canada at 2:10 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10.
All games will broadcast on the Peacock app and nbcolympics.com.
