With family in attendance, veteran of 15 seasons, all in Nashville, hits milestone
It was a grand night for Nashville Predators captain Roman Josi.
The veteran of 15 NHL seasons reached the 1,000 games played mark – all with the Predators – and the team showed him the love before taking on the Ottawa Senators on Thursday.
Josi walked in to a glowing marquee honoring him and teammates wore custom 1000-game T-shirts on their way in to Bridgestone Arena.

Josi’s adorable children, Luca and Ivy, were in the house for the occasion, wearing custom jerseys in honor of dad’s feat with “Daddy” on the nameplate and 1,000 as the number.

The kids also provided the cutest lineup read before the game.

Predators players all wore No. 59 and Josi’s name on their backs for warmups.

The Predators social media platforms changed the Predators team logo to Josi’s face.
Josi’s highly-decorated career includes three NHL All-Star appearances and winning the Norris Trophy in 2020 as the League’s best defenseman.
He is currently 27th on the career list for assists by a defenseman and sixth among active players with 554. He needs just 15 more to pass Hockey Hall of Famer Scott Niedermayer for 26th on the list.
