Canucks vs Kraken Prediction, Picks & Same-Game Parlay for Tonight’s NHL Game – Covers.com

Canucks F Evander Kane doesn't exactly pick his spots, preferring to shoot at will and let the chips fall where they may. He'll rack up the SOG against the Kraken tonight.
NHL
Evander Kane leads the Vancouver Canucks in shot attempts by a healthy margin, recording almost 40 more than Kiefer Sherwood in second.
My Canucks vs. Kraken predictions expect another high-volume performance against a team giving up a lot of shots lately.
Let’s take a closer look at my NHL picks for Monday, December 29.

Canucks vs Kraken best bet: Evander Kane Over 2.5 shots on goal (-150)
Evander Kane is the most trigger-happy player on the Vancouver Canucks, throwing the puck toward the net every chance he gets.
He should have plenty of opportunities to rip the puck against the Seattle Kraken, who have struggled to limit shots, allowing more than 34 per game over the past 10. The Capitals are the only other team averaging 31+ shots against in that span.
Kane has feasted in similar matchups all year long. He has registered at least three shots on target in seven of 11 games against teams ranking in the Bottom 10 in shot suppression.
He even had plenty of chances in some of the exceptions, registering seven attempts against the Sharks and nine against the Flames, which is volume that will lead to Overs much more often than not.
Jake DeBrusk, who leads the team in shots on goal, will also be sitting. His absence opens up more shots for other players, further benefiting Kane in the process.

The Kraken generally play no-event hockey in the latter half of back-to-backs, finding themselves in these situations four times thus far. Each game featured five goals or fewer, with an average of just 3.25.
Seattle’s offense has been completely lifeless in B2Bs, averaging 1.25 goals and 24.25 shots per game. Playing without key weapons in Jaden Schwartz and Brandon Montour won’t help their cause against a Vancouver team that has performed well on the road.
The Seattle Kraken have only hit the Game Total Over in 36 of their last 81 games (-6.90 Units / -8% ROI). Find more NHL betting trends for Canucks vs. Kraken.
