It’s never a bad call to back Hart Trophy odds favorite Nathan MacKinnon this season, but it’s an excellent investment against a struggling Kraken squad.
No team has a higher expected goals against total than Seattle over its last 10 games (40.92), according to MoneyPuck. Back MacKinnon to score for a third straight game to extend his league lead.
While some other best sports betting sites have this prop priced as high as -135, we’re placing our $10 bet at FanDuel’s -110 odds for the chance to bring home $9.09 in profit. Those odds translate to an implied probability of 52.38%.

Islanders forward Mathew Barzal has scored in four of his last five games against the Red Wings, including both matchups this season.
And with Bo Horvat out with a lower-body injury, I expect Barzal to be more aggressive offensively in the absence of the Islanders’ leading goal scorer.
DraftKings offers the best odds on a Barzal anytime goal at +190 (34.48%), where a winning $10 wager will net a $19 profit.

Penguins forward Bryan Rust has scored in three straight games entering tonight and actually leads Pittsburgh in expected goals this season (13.8) despite scoring eight fewer than Sidney Crosby, per MoneyPuck.
