Sartori's prediction: With two struggling goaltenders between the pipes, a high-scoring affair is in store at the Lenovo Center.
NHL
The Carolina Hurricanes host the Florida Panthers in an Eastern Conference tilt to kick off tonight’s NHL slate.
These two teams typically produce high-scoring games when they meet, and my Panthers vs. Hurricanes predictions expect this trend to continue.

Panthers vs Hurricanes best bet: Over 5.5 (-140)
There have been six or more total goals scored in seven of the past 10 meetings between these two teams. Given the recent form of each projected starting goaltender, that trend is likely to continue this evening.
The Florida Panthers are expected to start Sergei Bobrovsky, who is in the midst of his worst professional season. He hasn’t posted a save percentage in the .900s in over a month, recording just .861 over that span.
Meanwhile, Frederik Andersen is slated to be in the cage for the Carolina Hurricanes. One of the league’s more inconsistent goaltenders this season, Andersen hasn’t reached a .900 SV% since November 1.
Both netminders enter a challenging matchup, with each team boasting top-six offensive firepower in the league, ranking among the leaders in expected goals for per 60 minutes (xGF/60).
Florida’s Sam Reinhart comes into this contest in excellent form, scoring nine goals over his past 14 contests, including one in the December 19 matchup against Carolina.
Meanwhile, Carolina’s Logan Stankoven looks to keep his hot streak alive, as the forward has found the back of the net in four of his last six games.
The Over has cashed in four of the last five head-to-head meetings. Find more NHL betting trends for Panthers vs. Hurricanes.
