Two divisional rivals get set to duke it out on Wednesday night, as the Los Angeles Kings prepare to host the Vegas Golden Knights.
The Golden Knights might be dealing with a plethora of injuries, but that has not stopped the team from performing well and maintaining a status as one of the best teams in the NHL.
Even with the goaltending carousel in full swing, the Golden Knights have stayed consistent, even against the best teams in the league. The team has won four games in a row, including a 7-2 beatdown of the San Jose Sharks this past Sunday night. With Mitch Marner, Jack Eichel and others clicking offensively, Vegas has managed to score its way out of problems lately.
The Kings, at one point, were competing with the top three in the Pacific Division. However, a series of poor results have led to the team stumbling down the standings. Los Angeles has dropped three of its past four games, falling to the Dallas Stars on Monday night.
The Golden Knights currently sit atop the Pacific, while the Kings are back in fifth, six points back of Vegas.
