Now, there is still lots of hockey to be played, but how the Wings have managed to respond after some tough losses weeks ago shows this team has some grit that can translate to success.
Detroit faces a Flames team that got off to a miserable start this season, and it looked like they were going to finish near the bottom of the Western Conference. However, the team has picked up steam, winning three games in a row, all on home ice.
