Kyler Black scored twice as Duluth Marshall dominated proceedings against Minneapolis at the Minneapolis Ice Garden on Saturday, blanking the hosts 6-0.
The Hilltoppers (5-0) held a 35-15 shot advantage, with Wyatt Brown earning the shutout in the Marshall goal. Eleven Marshall players had at least one point, with Benson Peterson and Bennett Scissons finishing with a goal and assist apiece.

Coming off a 3-1 loss in Warroad the night before, the Wolverines took it to the Rams on Saturay in Roseau, scoring six unanswered goals for the lopsided win.
Colton Bialke broke a 2-2 tie at the 7:40 mark of the second period and was later followed by Caz Carlson on the power play. Both added second goals in the third period to go with a hat trick tally for Cal Scott after Scott bagged both Rock Ridge tallies in the first period. Carlson and Bialke each had two assists as well.
Wyatt Jonassen made 14 saves for Rock Ridge (3-4).
The Lumberjacks recovered from a shutout loss in Bemidji on Friday by turning the tables on the Green Wave in the third period on Saturday.
Though they’d been outshot 24-12 through two periods, CEC was tied 1-1 by virtue of Jordy Sewell’s first-period goal. Conor Sullivan, Davis Snesrud and Cole Painovich all struck in the third as CEC raised its record to 3-3.
Jacob Iallonardo made 32 saves for CEC.
The Bluejackets had a 36-26 shot advantage but suffered their first loss of the season, to Class AA No. 11 Shakopee on Saturday at Hibbing Memorial Arena.

Tate Swanson scored early and assisted Joe Gabardi late for the Class A No. 1-ranked Bluejackets (5-1) but Shakopee had all the goals in between.
Gavin Lamphere finished with 22 saves for Hibbing/Chisholm
Seth Carlson had the only goal for the Thunderhawks on Saturday as they were defeated at Warroad’s Gardens Area.
Gavin Andersen had a goal and two assists for Warroad, ranked No. 5 statewide in Class A.
Luke Sherlock made 27 saves for Rapids (2-2-1).
Hayden Danelski and Corey Lemke scored goals for the Rebels, but Kittson County Central controlled play on Saturday at Riverside Arena in Moose Lake.
Jaxton Hemmes had a hat trick for the visitors, while Moose Lake Area goalie Grant Dresel stopped 34 shots.

Nora Madsen had four points and Addie Benson scored twice as the Spartans claimed a noteworthy early-season victory against the Raiders on Saturday at Superior Ice Arena.
Benson scored 1:57 into the game and then again in the second period to give Superior a 2-0 lead, which became 4-0 before the intermission on goals from Madsen and Aaliyah Haroldson. Madsen added three assists to her goal, while PaisLee Lystig had two assists to go with a late goal.
Evie Jenkins made 22 saves for the Spartans (2-1).
Ashlee Pruse and Mya Gunderson scored in the second period as the Mirage found a way past Blaine at Fogerty Arena on Saturday.
Suri Langley shook off a first-period power play goal for the Bengals to make 20 saves.
Opal Anderson scored four times as the Lightning dominated Northern Tier on Saturday in Isanti, Minnesota.
Brooke Troumbly added two more goals for GRG, which had a 49-7 shot advantage. Teagan Christy made six saves.

Kate Morley and Ava Venne scored in the first period for the Wolverines, but the Green Wave scored four unanswered goals for a win at Iron Trail Motors Event Center in Virginia.
Erin Troutwine made 28 saves for Rock Ridge.
The Rebels couldn’t generate enough offense to make Autumn Painovich’s first-period goal hold up on Saturday, Dec. 6 in Moose Lake.
Painovich’s goal came at the 7:12 mark of the opening period, but St. Paul/Two Rivers, which outshot the hosts 36-14, had all the offense from there.
Piper Genereau made 33 saves for Moose Lake Area.
Anna Neyens knocked down five 3-pointers and scored 24 points as the Rangers took down host Cass Lake-Bena on Saturday.
Izzy Wiita added 14 points and a pair of treys for MIB, which led 32-22 at halftime.
