Our second game of NHL predictions has the Montreal Canadiens visiting the Vegas Golden Knights. Sam Montembeault is the confirmed starter for the Canadiens, who are 3-4-3 in the last 10 games. However, Montreal has gotten victories in its last two games entering this matchup. Nick Suzuki is off to a great start with 19 assists and 26 points so far this campaign.
Akira Schmid is the probable starter for the Golden Knights, who have lost in seven of their last 10 games. However, Vegas has five overtime or shootout losses in that time span. Schmid has only one regulation so far this season. Jack Eichel is topping the assists (21) and points (31) categories for the Knights. Captain Mark Stone is also back in the lineup for the hosts.
Both teams are looking to get a win in a rematch of the 2021 Stanley Cup semifinal series. However, Vegas gets the win at home.
Prediction: Golden Knights win 4-2.
