The Chicago Blackhawks (10-5-4) wrap up their four-game homestand with a matchup against the Seattle Kraken (9-5-5) at the United Center on Thursday night.
It’s the second of three meetings between the Blackhawks and Kraken this season, with Seattle winning 3-1 at Climate Pledge Arena just over two weeks ago on Nov. 3. Jamie Oleksiak, Matty Beniers, and Jordan Eberle were the goal scorers for the Kraken, while Joey Daccord stopped 29 of 30 shots faced to earn the win in net. Andre Burakovsky, a former member of the Kraken, recorded the lone tally of the game for Chicago.
Thursday also marks the front end of the first back-to-back for the Blackhawks this season. They’ll look to extend their current point streak to seven games against Seattle and will then have a late-night travel to Buffalo for a matchup against the Sabres on Friday.
Last time out, the Blackhawks were led to a 5-2 win over the Calgary Flames behind the second hat trick of the season from Connor Bedard. The 20-year-old forward now has 22 points (11G, 11A) over the past 11 games, and the Blackhawks have a 6-3-2 record during that stretch. Oliver Moore also picked up his first multi-point game of the season, while Louis Crevier extended his point streak to four games with a primary assist.
The Kraken are coming off a 4-2 road loss to the Detroit Red Wings in their most recent appearance on Tuesday. Jordan Eberle, the team’s leading goal scorer, and Ryker Evans were responsible for the two goals in the Motor City. Seattle is 3-3-1 in seven games since the first meeting against the Blackhawks earlier this month. They were riding a three-game point streak (2-0-1) before the defeat to Detroit.
Here’s everything to note before puck drops at 7:00 p.m. CT in Chicago.

Tyler Bertuzzi AND Jason Dickinson were on the ice for the morning skate and took part in line rushes. Bertuzzi has been out of the lineup for the last two games, while Dickinson has missed the past eight contests.
Curiously, Bertuzzi was slotted onto the second line with Frank Nazar and Oliver Moore during the morning skate. Bertuzzi has played well recently on the top line with Connor Bedard and Andre Burakovsky, but head coach Jeff Blashill decided to switch things up upon his return. Blashill said he anticipates Bertuzzi being back in the lineup against Seattle.
Dickinson, who’s been vocal about not returning to the lineup until he’s feeling 100 percent, centered the fourth line with Colton Dach and Sam Lafferty. However, Blashill confirmed that he’s not quite ready to be removed from injured reserve. Dickinson will miss a ninth consecutive game.
The Blackhawks will roll with 11 forwards and seven defensemen in the lineup once again.

Daccord is expected to make his 13th start of the year in between the pipes for the Kraken. The 29-year-old allowed three goals on 26 shots to pick up the loss in his last time out against the Red Wings on Tuesday. Daccord is 5-1-0 with a 1.68 GAA and .937 Sv% in six career starts versus Chicago.
