Earlier this morning, forward Adrian Kempe signed an eight-year contract extension with the Kings, worth a total of $85 million, running through the 2033-34 NHL Season. Kempe is the team’s leading scorer this season, with 20 points from 19 games played, ranking second with eight goals.
Capitals – Matt Roy: Former Kings defenseman Matt Roy will play his third career game against the organization that drafted him. Roy has two assists from 18 games played this season and leads all Capitals defensemen with a +8 rating. Roy made his NHL debut with the Kings during the 2018-19 season and played 369 games with the Kings over six seasons.
