Join The Knights for the 2nd annual hockey game supporting the NHL's Hockey Fights Cancer initiative with a unique atmosphere, including an opening pregame ceremony, raffles, and more. Entry is free!
The event is on November 29th at the Canandaigua Civic Center. Open skating begins at 2:00pm, with the pregame ceremony starting at 3:30pm, honoring those affected by cancer. It is an amazing chance to support a cause that impacts so many lives while enjoying a day of hockey with the community.
All proceeds go to the NHL’s Hockey Fights Cancer fund, benefiting cancer research and patient care through the American Cancer Society.
The Knights were named in memory of Marine Corporal Albert S. Knight, Ontario County's first casualty of the Vietnam War. Albert Knight was an avid skater who wished that anyone interested in skating would have the opportunity to do so. In support of Albert's wish, his family was actively engaged in founding the original Canandaigua Knights Youth Hockey Conference.
Since it's inception the Knights organization has expanded its reach outside of Ontario County, including players from Livingston, Monroe, Seneca and Wayne Counties. Offering options for all players and skill sets the Knights serve as the Finger Lakes Region's destination for hockey development.
